Body-Worn Camera Program
In September, 2016, the O'Neill Police Department was awarded a $5,341 grant from the Department of Justice to implement a Body-Worn Camera program at the O'Neill Police Department. The program includes community involvement; development of body-worn camera policy and procedures; testing, training, procuring equipment; and deployment of cameras. Any vendor interested in reviewing our proposal for the upcoming purchase of Body-Worn Cameras may click the file below to download, contact us at (402) 336-1313 or request by e-mail: [email protected]. As we go forward with regard to the camera hardware, the development of policy, training and establishing the best possible method of deployment, we will communicate changes to the program and any new legislation as it becomes available. The Department will continue to update our web page with any policy changes or events involving our Body-Worn Camera Program.
